We oppose the current proposals for the Jericho Lands in Vancouver, BC. The developers – the MST Corporation and the Canada Lands Company – want to build about 40 apartment towers on the site, ranging in height from 15 to 38 storeys. This site must not be turned into a dense collection of concrete and glass towers, like Oakridge.

We want our City Council to reject the current proposals. We urge the developers to return to the drawing board to consider alternative plans to build a livable, modestly priced and affordable neighbourhood with a minimal embodied carbon footprint and impact on Jericho Lands that suits the overall aesthetic of the surrounding communities. Until then, we want an immediate pause on the project approval process.
